Țara Dornelor

Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 2026. This document explains what personal data we collect on the Țara Dornelor tourism marketplace, why, for how long, and what rights you have.

Who is the data controller

The data controller is the Țara Dornelor Destination Management Organization (DMO), which operates this destination showcase and the taradornelor.online booking marketplace. The platform has no intermediary: bookings and payments are made directly with the chosen accommodation, activity, restaurant or event provider — not through the DMO as a contracting third party.

What data we collect

  • Account data: name, email address, phone number — when you create a visitor or provider account.
  • Booking data: stay dates, number of guests, special requests — needed to confirm the booking with the provider.
  • Payment data: payments are processed entirely by our payment provider LibraPay. We do not store and have no access to your card data — it stays with LibraPay.
  • Reviews: the text and score of reviews you publish about a stay or service, linked to your account.
  • Notification preferences: the channels through which you agree to be contacted (email) about your bookings.

Why we use your data

  • To carry out and confirm the booking chosen directly with the provider.
  • For invoicing, per legal obligations — invoices are issued via SmartBill.
  • For transactional communications: booking confirmation, reminders, changes or cancellations.
  • To respond to your support requests.

Legal basis

We process the data required for the booking based on the performance of the contract between you and the provider (the marketplace facilitates the connection). Invoicing is based on the legal obligation of tax record-keeping. Transactional communications and account creation are based on the consent given at registration.

How long we keep your data

Booking data and invoices are kept for the period required by applicable tax and accounting obligations, even after your account is deleted. When your account is deleted, your profile (name, email, phone) is anonymised — the related bookings and invoices remain on record only in the form required by law, no longer linked to your identity.

Your rights

Under GDPR, you have the right to:

  • Access your personal data.
  • Rectify inaccurate or incomplete data.
  • Delete your account and associated data (except what is legally retained).
  • Portability — export your data in a structured format.
  • Object to processing based on legitimate interest.

You can exercise these rights directly from your account, or by email at contact@taradornelor.online.

Cookies

We use a single strictly necessary cookie, to keep you signed in to your account session, plus a preference cookie that remembers your chosen season theme (summer/winter). We do not use tracking cookies and do not share data with third parties for advertising or analytics purposes.
